ORCAS 2020: People's Choice for Stickman

David Shirley, Melina Fiolitakis and Stickman take out the People's Choice Award

The winners of the 2020 Outstanding Radio Creativity Awards (ORCAS), run by The Radio Bureau, have been announced.

Created by David Shirley and Melina Fiolitakis, PAK’nSAVE’s “Savey” spot has taken away the People’s Choice Award, the second year running David and Melina have won this award.

It’s nice to know that a really simple idea still resonates with people. Your ad doesn’t need to be flashy or expensive to make it good. Apparently you don’t even need to pay for a full length spot.

David Shirley, Senior Creative

NZ’s favourite StickSpokesman, Stickman hit the right note again with the 15 second spot, which collected the majority of individual votes during this year’s voting.

David and Melina take away a $2000 cash prize and a $5,000 radio schedule for their client.

Peter and I are super proud of Shirley and Melina making it two in a row at the ORCAS. We’ll celebrate in true PAK’nSAVE style with a low cost party. Woop woop.
