FCB Media tops the awards tally at the 2022 Beacon Awards

FCB Media has taken away the largest number of awards at the 2022 Communications Council Beacon Awards, held at Auckland’s Aotea Centre on 9 June, with seven golds and ten silvers, bringing their impressive tally to 17.

The awards covered five different clients and six different campaigns, with the work recognised across 12 different categories. Last night’s results build on the history of sustained success for the agency at the Beacons; last year they reached their 100th Beacons gold over the last 10 years.

Newly recognised as one of the prestigious awards on the night, Water Safety NZ took home a gold in the Sustained Success category. “We’re stoked to win sustained success the first year this category’s been promoted to one of the ‘big ones’. It’s a perfect example of when media, data and creativity combine to stay true to an uncompromising audience led strategy. We thank Water Safety NZ for their trust and partnership over the last five years” commented Anne Lipsham, Chief Strategy Officer, Media.

Commenting on their overall success, Managing Director Terri Collier said “the key to awards success is great partnership that drives tangible business results. We believe our secret sauce is the strength of our relationships with our clients, media owners and internally with our Creative and Data and Tech teams. We’re extremely proud of the work we’ve been able to deliver in 2021 across all our clients and that five of our clients have been recognised tonight”.
