Why change?
Our key challenge for 2015 was to connect with the hearts and minds of New Zealanders, establishing a clear number one
position as the (percieved) best network in NZ and increasing brand consideration. This particular brief focused on the former part of the challenge. We needed to leverage NZers love of the land to demonstrate the wide reaching power of the Vodafone network and give meaning to the new network line of ‘Life’s better connected’.

What changed
The TV commercial shows how an unlikely relationship develops between a Postie and a lost piglet against the breathtaking backdrop of Central Otago. The story struck a chord with New Zealanders, receiving over 300K views via YouTube and almost 600K views through social posts. It was soon voted New Zealand’s favourite TV commercial and initial research results show this to be the brand’s best performing TV commercial to date.
