FCB NZ wins Most Effective Agency

The annual New Zealand Effie Awards show was held in Auckland last night, where the coveted Most Effective Agency of the Year Award was awarded to FCB New Zealand.

FCB’s impressive haul of awards included a gold Effie for best strategic thinking for its “Say Yeah, Nah” campaign for the Health Promotion Agency (HPA), four silver Effies for clients Noel Leeming Group, Electricity Authority, Statistics New Zealand and HPA, as well as seven bronze Effie awards. This resulted in an overall points tally of 93, 39 points ahead of the nearest competitor.

FCB also won gold in the Hardest Challenge category for HPA’s “Say Yeah, Nah” campaign.

Commenting on the accolades, Bryan Crawford, CEO & group chairman, at FCB New Zealand, says, “Our business is all about creating behaviour change and winning most effective agency is a fantastic validation of this. We’re particularly proud of the Say Yeah Nah campaign, which was recognised as the hardest challenge and for the best strategic thinking. The results clearly show that New Zealanders are embracing the idea of saying Yeah Nah to binge drinking.

We’re extremely grateful to all of our clients who allow us to create effective campaigns for them each year.”
